The Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app, where convenience meets savings in the palm of your hand. Seamlessly pay for fuel and convenience store purchases securely through your phone, utilizing various payment methods, including the ease of Apple Pay.
Exxon wanted to update its existing mobile application to improve user navigation while maintaining its loyalty program's focus. We conducted a thorough analysis of their current app and loyalty program to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for enhancement. We also developed a new design system that aligned with the Exxon Mobile brand.
One of our main focuses was streamlining the onboarding process by offering the option to sign up with Apple or use just a mobile number. We redesigned the home screen to prominently feature the loyalty program, allowing users to easily redeem or earn points at any time. Additionally, we improved navigation to other app sections, including rewards activity, offers, and the referral program.
The primary goal of the app was to facilitate point redemption and earning. Users could now redeem points for fuel or in-store products, as well as accumulate points through referrals, joining AARP, and being a premium frequent fueler with just a few taps.
Overall, we aimed to enhance the user's mobile experience without compromising the focus on the loyalty program and other key features. We successfully met Exxon's requirements and improved the app for easier loyalty redemption and earnings while staying true to the Exxon brand.
